ROTARY CLUB OF ADYLIA ACKNOWLEDGES RCSI BAHRAIN STUDENTS

In a show of appreciation Dr Faiza Ghabnid and Mr Julian Clarke-Jervoise from the Rotary Club of Adylia (RCA) acknowledged the 60 RCSI Bahrain students that volunteered during the 2nd RCA Pink walkathon. The undergraduate medical and nursing students volunteered for the second year running to marshal over 1000 participants during the 3.1km walkathon at Dohart Arad, Muharraq. Their role was to hand out water and support the walkers during the hour long event. The students enabled a smooth, fun filled afternoon and worked efficiently and professionally with the RCA steering committee for the event.

Certificates of appreciation were handed out to those who volunteered their time for the event. RCA has been established in Bahrain since 1994. During their 17 years on the Island, their motto to Services above Self has never changed. This event was one of 12 that the organisation was involved in. Speaking on behalf of RCA, Dr Ghabnid comment, It was great to see the enthusiasm of the RCSI Bahrain students. We are thankful to them for collaborating with us and taking part in making a change the community they live.
