RCSI Bahrain and Arabian Gulf University have announced a joint research fund of BD20,000 for scientific research in medical studies and the study of diseases prevailing in the Arabian Gulf region.
The joint investment fund and the agreement signed by the heads of the universities is the beginning of a new relationship of cooperation in the field of medical research and joint clinical research, addressing urgent health issues facing the Gulf states, such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, heart disease and blood diseases.
RCSI Bahrain President, Professor Sameer Otoom and President of AGU, Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Ohali said the initiative marks the beginning of real research cooperation in the medical field and the beginning of joint clinical research.
