The Student Council of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Medical University of Bahrain organized the Universitys Annual International Festival on Saturday 23rd November at the University Campus in Busaiteen.
The international festival is an event where groups of students select a country to represent, whether their own or any other country they would like, and create a booth reflecting its culture, where the countrys main dishes are served.
This event is usually one of the most attended events all year. Attendees got to enjoy great dishes from Bahrain, Ireland, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Pakistan, India, Morocco, Turkey, the United States and many more. For many of the attendees, this event provides the first opportunity to experience the tastes of new cultures.
RCSI staff and students had the honour of receiving H.E. Dr Ahmed Nayif Rasheed , Ambassador of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Jauher Saleem, Ambassador of Pakistan, and Mr Amin Hassan, the Egyptian Council in Bahrain. The three diplomats expressed their admiration of the multicultural environment in RCSI Bahrain, and the students ability to highlight that diversification through such a great event.
